In Indian meals, you usually start with dessert, the idea being to kick things off on a sweet note.
On that vein, I thought it’d be appropriate to kick off this blog with a sinfully sweet treat I recently experimented with, a dark chocolate and peanut butter pudding. I stumbled across this recipe on eggs on sunday as I was randomly Googling words like “chocolate” and “peanut butter” (I blame Baskin-Robbins’ Peanut Butter n’ Chocolate Ice Cream for starting my obsession), and instantly knew I had to try it.
This is totally worth it, and totally simple to make. And you better have an iron will, or you’ll be licking the pot way before the pudding sets. The rich, velvety dark chocolate and the creamy peanut butter go so perfectly together, you’re going to have to apologise to the diet gods for this one.
You can find the recipe here. After making the recipe, I realised that this is actually one whopping portion of dessert; you could easily make 12 servings of smaller puddings out of this recipe. I’d also make a little more of the chocolate pudding to properly balance the flavours out.
